My Story
Having been on the ‘receiving end’ of coaching, both for my business and my personal life, I’ve seen the power of coaching first hand and how it’s able to open doors I thought remained closed to me. In fact, it was during a coaching session that the breakthrough came which led me to becoming a pastor – a journey which took over 20 years.
With a business background in IT and marketing for over 20 years, and as pastor of an evangelical church in Bolton, UK, as well as a life coach, I have a unique blend of business acumen, spiritual understanding and coaching skills.
Over the years I’ve studied at Capernwray Bible School, Moore Theological College and Union School of Theology, as well as completing studies in counselling, pastoral studies and as a certified coach. I’m also a member of the Association for Coaching.
Married for 29 years, with three children and a Christian for 35+ years, I understand the challenges that life can bring.
My Values & Beliefs
God is always there for you
There are times in our lives when we feel that God is distant. Certainly, the psalmist experienced this in Psalm 10:1 “Why, O Lord, do you stand far away, Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?” but by the end of the psalm, he feels differently “O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted.” (v17)
I know God to be faithful in both good times and hard times, and it’s important that you do too.
All Christians struggle in their spiritual walk
You’re not alone in your struggle. However, there’s no need to struggle alone. By coaching with a Christian perspective, you can forge a way forward in your life that not only brings fulfilment, but helps you walk closely to God.
Life is better with Jesus
I obviously mean this from a point of salvation, but also in regards to everyday life. I’ve met so many Christians that say they love Jesus, but live without acknowledging him in their day to day lives. Living as a Christian on a Sunday only is not only robbing God of the glory he deserves, but you’re also giving yourself a lesser life. Be proud of being a child of God.
My Approach
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10. I want to see that promise fulfilled in your life.
You have been created in the image of God, and as a Christian, you have been saved by God, for a glorious future.
I will coach you through where you are now, to where you want to be, helping you to navigate life and honour God.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
